Christophe Birkeland

Christophe Birkeland is the CEO of Genus, leading a team of no-code professionals dedicated to empowering organizations with sustainable software solutions. A seasoned executive with a proven track record in guiding high-performance teams, Christophe brings a wealth of experience to his role.

Prior to joining Genus in 2020, Christophe served as the CEO of Symantec Norway, CEO of Malware Analysis (Blue Coat Norway), and CTO of Norman. With over 20 years of experience and several publications in the field, he is a highly respected expert in the Information Security community. Christophe also held the position of Director at NorCERT (the Norwegian Computer Emergency Response Team), under the Norwegian National Security Authority.

Christophe holds a Ph.D. in Physics (1997) and a Master’s degree in Numerical Mathematics (1993) from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
