HSE Policy and Environmental Objectives

Genus commits to long-term sustainability and climate awareness. We aim to balance ecological responsibility and positive social impact by proactively identifying and reducing environmental impacts. Our strategy involves achieving the Eco-Lighthouse certification by the 1st quarter of 2024.

Focus Areas within the UN's Sustainable Development Goals

We integrate sustainability and social responsibility within the following UN goals:

Good Health and Quality of Life: Social sustainability is about facilitating a good life for more people. Therefore, we wish to care for our employees both physically and mentally and provide a safe working environment. This is done by promoting physical and mental well-being for employees, ensuring a safe and inclusive work environment, and strengthening unity through organizational commitment and various social activities.

Responsible Consumption and Production: We ensure sustainable consumption with the least possible CO2 footprint and environmental impact. We focus on implementing sustainable consumption and production methods, reducing the CO2 footprint, and involving customers and suppliers in environmentally conscious initiatives.

Measures and Objectives

Health and culture in the company: Low level of sick leave, maintaining a strong corporate culture, and strengthening the inclusion of all employees.

  • Goal: Sick leave below 3%

Social Conditions: Ensure high satisfaction and safety in the workplace, and provide good health schemes.

  • Goal: Maintain the current level of health schemes in the company, as well as maintain an annual calendar for social activities and gatherings.

Environmental Awareness: Increase employees' awareness of the environment and sustainability, and consider new measures for positive environmental impact.

  • Goal: Actively share information about the environment and sustainability with all employees at least twice a year.

Environmental and Climate Footprint: Promote the use of public transport, and environmentally friendly purchases, and implement work methods that minimize environmental impact.

  • Goal: 95% of work-related travel with sustainable means of transport (Public transport, electric cars, bicycles, etc.)
