Intro

Tryg A/S, the largest general insurer in the Nordic region, faced the challenge to replace their current case management system to finalize their modernization of the health assessment process. Genus AS, a trusted partner of Tryg A/S, was selected to develop a new solution to replace their current system.

The project success criteria focused on acquiring a cost-efficient, user-friendly, and modern solution for timely, accurate, and compliant health assessments and reporting. Consequently, a no-code solution developed in collaboration with Genus’ insurance team became the natural choice.

Challenge

Tryg A/S needed to replace their current case management system

Tryg A/S in Norway ran their Health assessment processes with multiple system-to-system integrations and GUI-based RPA integrations towards Tryg internal and external systems. Tryg decided to phase out its current set-up, targeting the development of a new Health assessment case management system in 2023. Tryg needed a new case management system based on modern, secure technology, and GDPR compliance. Preferably, the new solution would also reduce the number of systems that the case handlers would require to manage a case.

Solution

A modern case management solution built with no-code

Tryg chose Genus as their partner to build a new case management solution using no-code. The new case management solution for Tryg’s Health assessment process has strong process automation capabilities and facilitates future improvements. The solution is built with best practices for case management preserving existing workflows while introducing new, efficient features and integrations, enhancing security, and ensuring GDPR compliance.

The Project

An agile and Collaborative Approach

Tryg A/S and Genus AS adopted an agile methodology for the project, focusing on swift, incremental releases and user feedback to ensure alignment with end-user needs. The process was characterized by:

·        Agile Workflows: Rapid sprints and iterative development for quick market delivery.

·        User Feedback: Continuous integration of end-user feedback to refine the solution.

·        Training and Support: Comprehensive training sessions and ongoing support for a smooth transition.

Result

Streamlined Operations and Compliance

The implementation of the new no-code solution brought significant improvements:

  • Efficiency: Unified case management platform reducing complexity and improving process speed.

  • User Experience: Enhanced interface leading to better user adoption and satisfaction.

  • Compliance: Adherence to GDPR and “Helsenormen” for data security and privacy.

  • System Retirement: Successful decommissioning of the old system, while demonstrating effective planning and execution.

  • Integrations: the new system uses data from several internal and external systems to make the process more efficient

This concise strategy led to enhanced operational efficiency and compliance, marking a new era in Tryg A/S’s health assessment processing.

We are pleased with the positive feedback from our team regarding the new application, noting its improved efficiency and modern user interface.

The streamlined processes will undoubtedly benefit our customers, particularly through faster case handling—an aspect of great importance to us.

Additionally, we selected Genus as our vendor due to their capability to facilitate future enhancements and modifications to the application. Their platform offers the flexibility needed to make swift adjustments and developments as required.
